Other Companies Have a Mobile Water Division. We are a Mobile Water Company.
At Laminar Water, we dedicate all our resources to engineering and perfecting one thing: mobile, containerized water treatment systems. Every system we build benefits from deep operational experience and uncompromising attention to detail. The result is a solution built not just to work, but to last.
Laminar Water was founded and is led by Professional Engineers with over 50 years of combined, direct experience in water treatment technology. We’ve spent our careers on the ground, commissioning, programming, operating and troubleshooting the same types of systems you rely on. That experience taught us what fails under pressure and what stands up to constant demand.
Our team has designed, built, and operated advanced water treatment systems at the highest levels of the industry. We’ve put those lessons into practice to build a mobile treatment system that is more robust, reliable, and operator-friendly than any other.
We don’t use an assembly-line approach. Every system is built under the direct supervision of the Professional Engineers who designed it. The success of your system is never delegated or left to chance.

Every system is built at our manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario, using high-quality materials from trusted North American suppliers whenever possible.

Our engineering philosophy is shaped by decades of operational experience. Every design choice we have made is intended to reduce guesswork on the part of the operator, simplify maintenance, and maximize uptime.
We house our mobile water treatment systems in 53 foot intermodal shipping containers because they are the proven enclosure for critical mobile infrastructure.
The container is built from Corten weathering steel, a high-strength alloy developed to resist atmospheric corrosion. Corrugated for strength and welded to reinforced steel beams, the container provides a wind-and-watertight defense for the equipment inside. Its robust, lockable structure also deters theft and unauthorized access.
Shipping containers are designed to be stacked nine high while fully loaded and to withstand hurricane-force winds and 50-foot waves at sea. This inherent structural stability protects your system from even the most extreme weather and physical wear over the course of decades.
Using standard shipping dimensions classifies your system as standard cargo, not an oversized load. This simplifies logistics, reduces special permitting, and lowers transportation costs by road, rail, or sea, getting the system to your site faster and more affordably. And if you ever need to relocate your system to another site, the logistics are simple.
Each unit is insulated and includes an integrated HVAC system designed for both high performance and failure resilience. To maintain climate stability, the system incorporates redundancy. It includes two independent HVAC units each designed to provide sufficient heat and air conditioning for the entire container, three recirculation fans ensuring consistent temperature throughout plus an additional electric heater. This allows the system to hold a stable temperature even if a major component fails.
We believe service is an integral part of a successful project. When you need support, you get a direct line to an expert who knows your system inside and out. There are no call centres or support tiers. You speak directly with the Professional Engineers who designed and built your system.

Every project starts with a technical conversation to understand your specific needs. We’ll work with your team to analyze your water, define your capacity requirements, and outline your goals. From there, we configure a system built for your requirements.
